About Us

At Gold Coast Family Centre we provide support to children and their families by providing them with a safe and supportive environment to have supervised time together.

We have three family contact rooms available with designated play areas and a functional kitchen available for families to cook and prepare meals and snacks. Our rooms cater to children from newborn to teenagers with a large range of toys and activities suitable for every age group.

We are situated at 6/19 Cotton Street, Nerang close to the M1 and public transport.





Gold Coast Family Centre focuses on a collaborative approach of working with families within the Family Court jurisdiction to minimise the impact of separation on parents and children. The Centre also assists families in the Children’s Court jurisdiction and provides supervised support and youth work support to The Department of Children, Youth and Multicultural Affairs. 


Our Family Centre operates under a strict agreement which parents and/or guardians must adhere to before using our services.


Our Staff


Jennifer is the Centre Director and holds a Bachelor of Human Services in Child and Family Studies and a Bachelor of Education. She has worked in the Child Protection industry for over 15 years and is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for families and children. 


At Gold Coast Family Centre we pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge across many different professions providing our families with a holistic view. On board at our centre we have Social Workers, Human Service workers, Teachers, Nurses and Psychologists who supervise our family contacts. 

Our staff are passionate about providing support to children and families and undergo an extensive application process in order to secure a job with us.

All staff are approved for working with children and have a current blue card, police check and reference check prior to employment with us.
